The olive tree dryad &
the mystic serpent
This mural depicts a driad, according to my vision, which guards the Olive Tree in the centre of the courtyard. Dryads are mythological beings, considered to be spiritual beings in charge of the care and protection of trees. It is believed that every tree has a dryad.
At the entrance to the courtyard there is a piece of art made on iron, The Mystical Serpent. This symbol appeared on a wall of the client’s family home, where she spent her childhood, in Germany, under several layers of white paint. It turned out to be an old family symbol, whose origin and meaning is unknown. It now appears as a symbol of protection at the entrance to his new house and as an element of reconnection with her ancestors.
